I was thinking Certifications will add advantage to prove myself in the industry. But things changed a lot, i have faced few situations while Offer negotiations were going on with HR’s of few companies.

I found they did not bother my certifications or my knowledge. They bother what is my current salary and making the offer according to that. It’s insane. Not every one have luck to start their career with Top CMM Level-5 companies. So gradually people will prefer to gain knowledge and expertise, working in other TIER companies. They have a hope that after some time their luck will change and they will get a better pay or better position meets with their dream and needs.

Some are not able to make it. But still we have hope, some day will get our number..

Basis of this post is that
I want to upgrade my MCPD Certification on .NET 2.0 to 3.5. I do not prefer taking upgrade exam, so i would always prefer to write full exam on .NET 3.5 Certifications.

My Plan goes as follows in some where in near future.

MCPD Enterprise Developer 3.5

Prerequisites for this exam are Papers
Pro: Designing and Developing Enterprise Applications Using the Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 (Exam – 70-565)- INQUEUE
MCTS: .NET Framework 3.5, Windows Forms Applications (Exam 70-505) – INQUEUE
MCTS: .NET Framework 3.5, ASP.NET Applications (Exam 70-536 and Exam 70-562) – PASSED
MCTS: .NET Framework 3.5, ADO.NET Applications (Exam 70-536 and Exam 70-561) – PASSED
MCTS: .NET Framework 3.5, Windows Communication Foundation Applications ( Exam 70-503) – PASSED

MCPD : Web Developer 3.5

Exam 70-564: PRO: Designing and Developing ASP.NET Applications Using Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 – INQUEUE

MCTS: SQL Server 2008, Database Development ,   Exam 70-433: TS: Microsoft SQL Server 2008, Database Development  – INQUEUE

These are my plans for future. I am taking certification not just for fancy or better position,  but to prove myself.

One day or the other I will Achieve my dreams.

That’s all for now..
