On 7th June 2010, Microsoft announced the immediate availability of Microsoft Expression Studio 4, the latest version of Microsoft’s professional design suite. Expression Studio 4 (which includes Expression Blend, SketchFlow, Expression Web, Expression Design, Expression Encoder). The software is available immediately to MSDN subscribers, with retail availability coming later. The three main components of Expression Studio are Expression Blend, for producing XAML designs for use with both Silverlight and Windows Presentation Foundation applications; Expression Web, for creating webpages; and Expression Encoder, for encoding and streaming video.”
Expression Studio 4 is available in three versions: Web Professional, Premium, and Ultimate editions (MSDN subscribers will receive the SKU of Expression Studio 4 that corresponds to their Visual Studio 2010 license).
Expression Studio 4 Web Professional features the Expression Web, Design, and Encoder programs; Expression Studio 4 Premium builds on that by adding the updated Blend feature; Expression Studio 4 Ultimate contains a new version of SketchFlow.
All versions of Expression Studio 4 are available as part of an MSDN subscription(MSDN Suscribers can fetch it up from Subscriber Downloads section), but retail versions of Expression Studio 4 Ultimate ($599) and Professional ($149) are also available. Customers currently using Expression 3 can upgrade to Expression Studio 4 at no cost (a free trial download is also available to all).
